Kate and Ant's Poynton wedding!

Hello and Happy Easter!

After a busy week, today's been a nice lazy day great for catching up and giving you a little update on what I've been up to (whilst Mary Poppins is on TV in the background - proper Sunday indulgence!)

Last week I went to the very special wedding of my sister-in-law Kate and her now hubby Ant! Kate was brought up in Poynton, Cheshire and wanted her wedding to be truly local - so they got married in her local church, had the reception at their local fabulous (and very regularly frequented) Italian restaurant The Tarantella, followed by their evening do at Poynton Community Centre.

I had a very busy morning before the wedding even started doing the make-up for Kate, my glamorous mother-in-law Chris and her bridesmaids Clare (also my sister-in-law), Sarah and Jen! I was wedding-ready for 8am (yes 8am!) and then we started the girls' make-up and had a lovely morning before their church ceremony at 12.30pm.

Here's a little taster of the day with photos from Jonny Draper, who is not only my wonderful husband but a fabulous photographer to boot!

Here's the beautiful bride Kate, she opted for a natural make-up look with natural eyes and kohl eyeliner and a hint of purple eyeshadow pigment on the top corners of her eyes to tie in with her flowers.  She wore Chanel Rouge Coco Shine pink lip colour in Aventure, a super moisturing lipstick with a lovely gloss to it. These gorgeous flowers are by Laura and her team at Green Earth Flowers, another local Poynton business who do amazing floral designs! This even ties in with her beautiful birdcage veil which was also created by Green Earth Flowers, it has some fab jade green feathers in it too!

I can't not mention Kate's gorgeous gown too which was from Timeless Bride, also in Poynton. Kate had lots of lovely things to say about this boutique and her experience there - I haven't had the pleasure to meet the owner, Michelle, myself but I've heard from many people she's fabulous!

These were Kate's amazing Irregular Choice shoes - totally in tune with the colours for the day! Kate even had her dress slightly shorter at the front to show these off!

Kate and her mum, Chris, before leaving for church. Chris's make-up is again very natural using soft taupes and pink tones, including one of my personal fave lipsticks, Speak Louder, by MAC with a touch of gloss on top.

En route to church, driven by Kate's auntie Lenore who own a coach/bus hire company! I had the privilege to be in it too and we had lots of people waving and tooting at us!

The moment had finally come. Kate enters the church with her dad Pete...

Kate's sister Clare sang in church, I had a little cry and so did Kate and Sarah her bridesmaid! Good job they were wearing waterproof mascara!

Here's a shot of the Draper family, including Jonny and I on the far left - I didn't turn out too bad really after a full morning's work!

The procession from church to the reception down Park Lane in Poynton - Jonny had us walking down the middle of the road and we literally stopped traffic! Great shot!

Some pics of the happy couple outside the Draper family haunt The Continental Deli on Park Lane! Mum and Dad even had chance to get in a coffee!

Ace shot of the bridal party! I just loved the bridesmaids colourful dresses which toned in fabulously with the colour theme for the day.

Here's the bride and her lovely bridesmaids trying their hand behind the bar! The brief for the bridesmaid's make-up was to keep it natural but oozing glamour - smokey eyes, contoured cheeks and glossy lips! For Sarah (in red) I matched up her lip colour to her dress - a fabulous MAC lipglass in "Venetian".  Just shows red definitely works for bridal make-up without going too overboard.

Oops, I think Kate ended up drinking neat gin!

Kate looking uber glam -  The Tarantella's bar is a fab setting and this looks real vintage glamour!

On to the evening do at Poynton Community Centre - check out the amazing bunting too which was created by Kate's mum Chris, sister Clare and Aunty V!

Then some serious dancing started...

Ace shots Jonny!

So, what a fabulous day it was. I can't believe it came around so quickly and now it's over, but of course it's just the start of a wonderful future for Kate and Ant. Have a fab honeymoon in Switzerland guys and lots of love to you both!

Love
Emma xx
